Use the Player Platform as your central place to edit and update recruiters with your newest and best video highlights.
The platform streamlines your highlight videos with easy sports editing tools like clipping, tagging, and spotlighting yourself. It allows you to update and share with ease to keep you in front of your coaches.
The benefit to the Player Platform helps you keep all your best video in 1 place. No matter where your video is, there is a way to get it on our platform and start editing.
Tools: We give you streamlined tools necessary to create highlight videos and share with coaches.
Support: You get access to our support team that will work with you every step of the way on any technical video questions/issues you may have.
Video made for you: We also make videos for recruits if making themselves is still to daunting. Afterwards you can still edit and update it whenever you want! Learn more
You only need your skills, a video, and email at the bare minimum to get recruited to any team.
Video is valuable piece to this equation in making sure you find the right program which is why we spend all of our time and efforts making your video the best that in can be.
You don’t need us if you know how to make your own video, what needs to go in your video, and how to best share it with coaches. Families use us because we make your life a whole lot easier and are professional at all of these.
Adding Video
Most frequent questions and answers
Our platform allows you to upload mostly all video formats to our platform. Common/Best practices:
Make sure file is on your device. You must download to your device from other platform first.
You must upload a video file such as .mp4 , .mov… (not .com , or .html)
If you need additional help uploading your file, please contact our support team here.
Your video should only take a few minutes at max to process after uploading is complete. If it takes any longer it could be your file format. If this persists longer than 10 minutes, please contact our team here.
Our platform uses a normal video aspect ratio (dimensions) of 16:9. You can achieve this by most video cameras, sports cameras, and hold your phone horizontal (long ways).
If you record any video in any other aspect ratio (dimensions) then you may see black on the top or bottom of your video after uploading to Sports Reelz. This is okay as long as the quality of the video is still decent.
Our platform has different subscription plans/levels. Each upgrade allows us to give you more video.
If you don’t have any more video / GB left in your plan you will need to upgrade your plan by messaging our support team here.

If you successfully uploaded a full game, clip, or some other type of video you should be able to see it under the games tab when logged in. If you don’t see your video thumbnail make sure to do these things:
Make sure you are logged in and to the correct platform
Go to your games tab
Scroll left, right, & down to view other video.
Select “view all” to see all videos of that type.
If you still don’t see your video please contact our support team here.
These 2 files types help upload your video more effectively and keep it organized within your Player Platform.

When uploading CLIPS our platform allows you to bulk upload and worry about other details later. Select “game clips” and add/upload as many as you’d like at once from your device.

Remember, your goal with the platform is to make highlights form your games and then create a highlight reel from these highlights that shows your best performances. The Player Platform also let’s you make games public which allows recruiters to watch your entire game or jump to specific highlights you have created within that game. All games are visible through your Player Platform link.
Games are only viewable if you set them to public. You can do this be selecting on that game and changing the toggle under the video from private to public.
You have unlimited access to interchange which games you have public at one time. Upgraded plans allow you to have more games public at one time.Â
To see what plan best fits you, you can view our plans on this page. Then, you can upgrade your plan to unlock more public games by messaging our support team here.
You can share your games by sharing your Player Platform link with recruiters. Games and any highlights created in that game will be viewable if the game is set to public on your player platform.
Not sure what your platform looks like? Text or email your link and open it on device that isn’t logged in. Then you will see what your Player Platform looks like to a recruiter.

Both full games and game clips are viewable under the games tab for a logged in user. They start private unless changed to public.

Creating Highlights

The highlights tab is place where you can compare your video highlights of the same highlight tag category. For example, a soccer player wants to see all of their tackles that have been tagged on the platform. The player can filter the tag category (tackle) and can compare all of their tackles from multiple games in 1 place.
You can also add and remove your highlights directly to your highlight reel from this page.
We keep our highlight tags general so that they can be just unique enough for the recruiter to filter what they are looking for.
The description option allows you to add more context to each highlight.
Each highlight you create should be between 5-30 seconds.
Make sure that you show enough time before and after your key moment so recruiters can see your movement / IQ in the play.

The highlight description can help you and recruiters differentiate between each of your unique highlights.Â

If you receive this error message it is because the highlight you are trying to create is less than 5 seconds or more than 30 seconds
In order to make sure recruiters are getting good quality highlights on our platform we require that each highlight must be between 5 and 30 seconds.
Make sure that your start and end time result between 5 and 30 seconds.
If your uploaded video is less than 5 seconds you can receive further assistance on this matter by messaging our support team here.
If you receive this error message it is because the highlight you are trying to create is less than 5 seconds or more than 30 seconds

If you receive this error message it is because your uploaded video ends at a certain time, let’s say ‘0:12’. But you are trying to create a highlight with an end time of ‘0:13′ seconds’. Because there is no video past ‘0:12’ of that uploaded video, your end time of the highlight must be equal or lower than ‘0:12’.
Make sure to check the length of your uploaded video.

Building Highlight Reel
Most frequent questions and answers
To add video to your highlight reel you must first create highlights form your game. Please review that tutorial first.
Once you have highlights in your game, you can add highlights to your reel by:
Go to your games tab
Select a game
On the right side one of your highlights created you can select the 3 vertical dots.
From this popup menu you can select a “add to highlight reel”
This will add your highlight to the bottom of your highlight reel.
To replace a highlight in your highlight reel you will need to remove a highlight from your highlight reel then add your new highlight to your highlight reel.

From this popup menu you can select a “remove from highlight reel”

This will add your highlight to the bottom of your highlight reel.
Once you add a highlight from a game to the reel they are not completely connected. So if you want it change in both places do the following:

A highlight being good is subjective to the viewer watching it. Aka everyone has different taste. There are lots of options to build a reel from your highlights.
But if you asked our professionals, they will tell you to keep these things in mind when rating and comparing each play:
Show athleticism, IQ, or something position specific in all first 5 highlights
Show highlights that have more in 1 play, for example, offense and defense in the same play
Show high-level / competition of play
Show recent video
Show a range of skills
When comparing look at the speed of play, the competition, your movements, your skills, and your results in each play. They may look similar to start but you will notice subtle differences and so will recruiters
Your Player Platform has a max amount highlights you can put in your reel depending on your plan. You will need to remove another highlight before adding the new one. (You can find more info on our support page under “How do I replace a highlight in my reel with a new highlight ?”)

Most frequent questions and answers
A coach / recruiter or anyone viewing your Player Platform link can see your highlight reel, games set to public, highlights within that public game, and your bio including, class, position, and location.
The best way to share your highlight reel is by copying your Player Platform link found near the top of your platform and pasting it in an email, text, social media, or other profile.
Every time you update your platform, your dynamic link will automatically update your public Player Platform Link
You should share with any resources you have.
Share with your current coaches and agents so that they can use your video to promote you.
Share with your coaches, peers, professionals, and friends to get feedback.
Share to your social media channels so anyone following you can see more.
If another profile is not allowing you to paste your Player Platform link please reach out to them and ask them where you can paste a link to your video platform. A lot of other sites are outdated and may need to allow you access to paste something other than Youtube.
Most frequent questions and answers
If you receive this error message it is because your uploaded video ends at a certain time, let’s say ‘0:12’. But you are trying to create a highlight with an end time of ‘0:13′ seconds’.
